Janhvi Kapoor has started her year with a new film called Good Luck Jerry. The film is a remake of a South film Kolamavu Kokila and is a slice-of-film movie. Janhvi who has been shooting in Punjab has been facing a lot of issues with her shoot due to the Farmers’ protest.
According to a report in a leading daily, the film’s shoot has been stalled in Punjab due to the farmers' strike. The farmers feel that Bollywood celebrities have not lent their support to them and in their long-standing protest. And hence to make sure that their voices reach our popular actors, the farmers stalled the shoot. The report states that the farmers are against the filming of the movie in the city and shouting slogans against the film industry for their non-support. The incident took place near Civil Lines on Saturday.
It’s even said that some farmers held a protest outside the hotel where the cast and crew are put up for the shoot. The protestors reportedly claimed that they are opposing Bollywood actors for not extending support to them in their fight. This is not the first time Janhvi Kapoor starrer is facing trouble as earlier this month too the shoot had come to a halt at Bassi Pathana in Fatehgarh Sahib. The farmers back then too had voiced out that Janhvi Kapoor should show some support on the ongoing protest. Conceding to their demands, Janhvi had even posted an IG story supporting the farmers and hoping a resolution is reached soon which benefits them. Now let's hope this Aanand L Rai production has a smooth-sailing in the city and Janhvi gets back to work. Good luck Jahnvi, shall we say?
