Sometimes, when you don't have the means, you will go to any lengths to satisfy an urge. The film revolves around the simple premise and also dwells on the fact that those nearest to us can cause us pain through callous behaviour. Winner
Its human nature indeed to make comparisons but sometimes, comparisons based on skin colour or earnings can have far reaching consequences. This is indeed the message Pankaj Batra's film, which is laced with dark humour. Winner
Diljit Dosanjh had the element of surprise and comedy in Ambarsariya. His character was that of an assassin who's moonlighting as a run-of-the-mill salesman. An absolute natural in front of the camera, Diljit made Ambarsariya an entertaining affair. Winner
A strong independent woman who's also in sync with the needs and challenges of her child, Sargun Mehta's character in Love Punjab was layered and well-crafted. Her performance as a mother and a wife was superlative. Winner
The versatile actor Binnu Dhillon plays a railway official who is rather proud of his high post and is forever putting down his brother-in-law, who is a farmer. His character does have a change of heart towards the end though and Binnu showcases both aspects admiringly. Winner
Veteran theatre personality Nirmal Rishi plays the protagonist's mother who finds an instant connect with her NRI daughter-in-law and has no problems laying bare her husband's shortcomings. She's forever fighting with him but one can see the love beneath the bickering. Winner
Jatinder Shah composed a near perfect album for Love Punjab. It had every kind of track – Akhiyaan de tare, Dowein nain and Goriyan bahvan encompassed various feelings like love, sorrow and celebration with ease. Winner
This pathos-filled song succinctly expresses the father son bond as well as the anxieties associated with this fragile tie. Winner
Diljit Dosanjh's voice has made him such an affable star. A born singer, he was in his elements while crooning the spunky Mitra da junction. Winner
The thundering vocals of Yaar di gali created a mesmerising effect on listeners. Sisters Jyoti and Sultana Nooran's voice intertwined and created a hypnotic effect in this soulful number. Winner
