Sometimes, you need to retie the bonds that bind you to another person. Prosenjit's character learns this lesson and finds the task to be difficult and rewarding the same time. It was a layered performance full of different shades and it's no wonder he was admired so much for it. Winner

The beautiful Bangladeshi actress played a woman torn between circumstances and her desires. She gets a chance to rise above her mundane life and takes it, willing to pay the price for it. It was a nuanced performance indeed in this emotionally wrought film Winner

The director plays a landowner who covets a young widow and is willingly to go to any lengths to get her. Love transforms him and in due course of time from a mean, covetous soul he becomes a kind-hearted individual. Winner

Mamta plays the protagonist’s mother in the film. She loves her son dearly and in order to bring him back to her, orders him to make a perfect fish curry for her, thereby gaining the attention she deserves. Winner

The music serves as one of the main attractions to this multi-hued film and adds to the narrative. Winner

The song touches upon the mysterious nature of love and how two people sometimes fail to understand the bond they have for each other. Winner

It’s a song about distance between relationships and Nachiketa’s melodious voice effectively bring forth the nuances contained in the composition. Winner

The song talks about doubts and misunderstandings in love and Chandrani’s rendition suits the theme just perfectly. Winner

Sometimes, people drift away from each other but love remains. And it’s not that hard to pick up the pieces and reinforce the relationship. The film tells the story of a father-son bond which despite being strong is hampered by distance. When the son visits his ailing father, their love gets tested but ultimately emerges victorious. Winner

He's an actor par excellence and can hold his own against anyone. And when he gets to feed off another good actor like Prosenjit the acting bar gets set higher still. Soumitra was a delight to watch as the father suffering from dementia who nevertheless retains a deep love for his son who has been living abroad. A must watch performance for sure. Winner

She played an independent minded housewife in this dramadey. Someone who has a life beyond the threshold of the kitchen and at the same time someone who keenly wants to be a mother. Winner
