Best Actor In A Leading Role (Male) - Deepak Dobriyal

Movie - Baba

Deepak Dobriyal

Deepak Dobriyal was simply superb as a deaf and mute father who nevertheless lovingly brings up a normal child. The bitter-sweet film was full of heart-touching moments and the leading man’s performance made you sit up and take notice of the proceedings. Winner

Best Actor In A Leading Role (Female) - Mukta Barve

Movie - Smile Please

Mukta Barve

Mukta Barve plays a successful woman whose world falls apart when she starts suffering from memory loss. She’s totally distraught as she misses out on her memory of her loved ones and is helped by a total stranger to retain some semblance of normalcy. Winner

Best Actor In A Supporting Role (Male) - Shashank Shende

Movie - Kaagar

Shashank Shende

Shashank Shende plays a cold-blooded manipulator who acts as the power behind the throne. He’s a calculative genius who doesn’t take long to shift loyalties. It was an engrossing performance and one of the plus points of the film. Winner

Best Actor In A Supporting Role (Female) - Neena Kulkarni

Movie - Mogra Phulaalaa

Neena Kulkarni

Neena Kulkarni plays a supremely possessive mom who learns to let go during the course of the film. Sometimes, we love so much that the love itself becomes a hindrance. That’s what her role personifies. It was another true-to-life performance by the actress. Winner

Movie - Anandi Gopal

Saurabh Bhalerao, Hrishikesh Datar And Jasraj Joshi

The period film's album too had a retro feel to it. One was transported to a distant era through the soundscape of the album. Folk and semi-classical tunes were used throughout, as were Indian instruments, to bring out a vibrant album. Winner

Song - Tula Japnar Ahe

Kshitij Patwardhan

Shalmali Kholgade

This Spanish and Marathi song is sung with a lot of verve and passion by Shalmali Kholgade. Her Marathi is impeccable indeed but even the Spanish portions sound genuine. It’s a fun, peppy number about the vagaries of love and one can listen to it on a loop continuously. Winner
