Filmmaker Ritesh Sidhwani, who is riding high on the success of his latest release, Gully Boy, is on his way to produce yet another instalment of the Fukrey franchise. Reportedly, he is working on the script of Fukrey 3. According to him, the Fukrey franchise has received a lot of love especially for its characters, Choocha and Hunny played by Varun Sharma and Pulkit Samrat respectively. He will be presented the draft of the film soon after which he will proceed with the making.
Sidhwani also shared that he and co-producer Farhan Akhtar are working together on the script and are discussing the story in depth. He shared how Farhan welcomes suggestions even when he’s directing a film. And that goes for Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti as well. It’s always a collaborative effort.
Fukrey and its sequel starred Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat and Manjot Singh essaying the lead roles and released in 2013 and 2017 respectively.
