Best Music Album Nominee

A R Rahman

Param sundari was the standout song of the album. Rahman used to experiment with hook words earlier in his career and he has shown here that he hasn’t forgotten the formula. Shreya Ghoshal has done ample justice to the song through her rendition. Yaane yaane is an Arabic-sounding number sung with a lot of verve by Rakshita Suresh. It’s certainly something different from Rahman’s repertoire. Phuljhadiyo sung by ever dependable Shilpa Rao is a folk-based ballad where Rahman’s melodic instrumentation comes into its own.
