Laal Singh Chaddha: Aamir Khan's Punjabi accent impresses Sargun Mehta

One of the most anticipated Bollywood releases of the year is Laal Singh Chaddha. Starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, the film is the official Hindi remake of the 1994 classic Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks. In it, Aamir plays a Punjabi character. Now, Punjabi actress Sargun Mehta has reacted to the star's accent in the film's trailer.

The first trailer of Laal Singh Chaddha arrived a while ago and it has sparked a range of reactions. As per reports in a leading news portal, Sargun Mehta said that while the actor could've done better, it takes a lot of hard work to get the accent right. She said, "Aamir sir is not a Punjabi and he has taken up a role. Actors are supposed to take versatile roles."
