Kiara Advani is being considered for an upcoming biopic on Indian swimmer Bhakti Sharma

Kiara Advani has quite a few films in her kitty to look forward to. Her career graph till now has seen a good blend of both commercial and content-driven films. As per reports, a film on Indian swimmer Bhakti Sharma might soon be in the making. Bhakti Sharma is an open water swimmer. She is also the youngest and the first Asian woman to have attained the feat of participating in open swimming in the freezing waters of Antarctica.

Bhavani Iyer who has been the screenwriter for films like Lootera and Raazi is said to have been brought on board for this biopic. Leena Sharma, the talented swimmer's mother was quoted in an entertainment portal saying, "Usually you hear about fathers coaching their children in sports and other achievements. Rarely do you hear a mother playing that role of a coach and I think that is what attracted them to our story, especially the relationship between Bhakti and me. I feel, the way I coped up as a mother and a coach makes for a thrilling story. There’s adventure, too, but it’s more about our relationship."

On asking her about the preferences she has for actresses to play her and her daughter's role in the film, Leena Sharma said, "I think Shefali Shah and Alia Bhatt would be a great cast. Although there are talks about Kiara Advani playing Bhakti’s role. I think Shefali can pull off my two avatars, that of Hitler and Mother Teresa. Bhakti calls me Hitler. When Bhakti is in the water, I'm Hitler and once she's out, I'm Mother Teresa.”
