Alia Bhatt is currently in Berlin to attend the world premiere of her next film, Gangubai Kathiawadi which will make its debut at the 2022 Berlinale. Before she left for Berlin, we caught up with the actress for a quick chat. In an exclusive interview with us, Alia spoke about the toughest bit about becoming Gangubai.
"It was the dichotomy in her. People are saying that the dialogues are powerful and hard-hitting. Right? But what sir (Sanjay Leela Bhansali) wanted was the dialogue to be hard-hitting but the eyes to be vulnerable. That pain to be there in the eyes but the style to be in the body language. So it was the contrast of the two that I found difficult," she said.
Gangubai Kathiawadi is all set to release on February 25 in theatres. The film is directed by ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and stars Ajay Devgn and Vijay Raaz besides Alia Bhatt.
