Have you, as a child, tied a bed sheet around your neck as a cape and tried to fly? Yes? Then Marvel is to be blamed. After bringing superheroes like Spiderman, The Hulk and Daredevil to the big screen, Marvel Universe gave us a dose of America’s favorite patriotic superhero Captain America in 2011 with Captain America: The First Avenger. However, it’s sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which released this year turned out to be a bigger hit and lived up to the expectations of fans of the comic book superhero from around the world.

Steve Rogers aka Captain America (Chris Evans) is living peacefully in Washington DC. Things look pretty fine in the film until a S.H.I.E.L.D. colleague (Samuel Jackson) comes under attack. Soon Captain America with the help of Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and The Falcon (Anthony Mackie) are up against the assassin codename The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan).

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, this flick is considered as one of the grittiest tale of this superhero series. No wonder the film entertains you even when you watch it at home on DVD.

One of the many additional features includes a deleted scene titled In Pursuit Of Captain America. Not that it would’ve added anything to the film, it doesn’t really make sense to have that on the disc too.

The Bonus feature includes the making of Captain America’s notebook that is shown in the opening sequence of the film where Steve Rogers is jotting down points in a notebook he has missed with Ken in the park. There are also localized versions of his list that are created by the makers with the help of fans around the world.

These weak bonus features are easily overshadowed by the good quality of film that promises all the entertainment that a superhero film must have. So this DVD surely needs to be included in your DVD collection. Pronto!
