Avengers: Endgame is breaking records in India even before it’s release

The fourth installment of the Avengers series is all set to hit the screens on 26th of April and fans have been waiting for the finale ever since it was announced. Recently, the pre-booking for the tickets of the film went online and it seems like the film is already breaking records. A popular online ticketing site revealed that they witnessed a record 18 tickets being sold per second on their platform. The site also revealed that they have already sold more than 1 million advance tickets in India. 


Well, while the number is staggering to say the least, it doesn’t come as a surprise given the immense popularity of the Avengers series in the country. Avengers: Endgame is the 22nd film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the latest after Captain Marvel, which released last month. Disney India’s Head Bikram Duggal spoke about how excited he is about the film’s release in the country. He said, “Avengers: Endgame is not just a movie, it's an epic culmination of a decade-long journey which the fans have taken with us across 22 films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The phenomenal interest shown by audiences across the country, is testament of how this is one of the most anticipated movies for the fans and we can't wait for them to watch it.”

The film stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson and Brie Larson, amongst others. Avengers: End Game will pick up right from where Infinity Wars left off and it’ll be exciting to see how the earth’s protector’s win their battle against Thanos.
